Very true, but it's strongly implied that the Monster actually is "born" with a good nature and many excellent qualities, but it goes so hopelessly to the bad because of Victor's continual cowardice and refusal to accept responsibility for his creation. It's a very dark and tragic story, to be sure.

I loved this. It solemn when you first see it, you think maybe he's sleeping. Then when I saw it was William from Frankenstein I felt a wretch and the picture worked very well through the initial confusion then then also for the story behind it. I love this. Good job.
I have to partly disagree with you. Though his actions were cruel, he wanted to be nice, but the world didn't let him. It's the fault of humanity that William ended up dead when it all comes down to it. If humans didn't hate everything that wasn't human than the Creature wouldn't have gotten in such a upset state of mind in the first place.
It is a good picture of him though, even if he is dead.
